Your Battery Powers Your Car, Truck or SUV’s Electrical Systems
The average life span of a car battery is about 48 months. Over time the process of draining and charging, draining and charging will result in the battery being unable to hold a charge any longer. Your battery is responsible for powering all of your car’s electrical systems, such as the dashboard lights, interior overhead lights, radio, headlights and heated seats.
Often, people will mistake a problem with their alternator for a dead or dying battery. In fact, a bad alternator can ruin a good battery if it is not addressed quickly. If your battery is still relatively new, it should survive an episode with a faulty alternator.
